As the years progressed, and my youth vanished behind me, I decided to explore Ontario in Greater Depth. My first steps of exploring Ontario further was not through cottaging but rather camping. I explored as much as I could, enjoying parks in Ontario such as Arrowhead, Algonquin, Restoule, and Bon Echo to just name a few.
It seemed that camping always entailed packing enough food and equipment to sustain you for a month even if you were going for a few short days. Cramming your car full, whilst resembling a mule transporting cargo became passé as my family grew in size.
My taste for the outdoors quickly changed as I realized that hauling camping gear around Ontario was difficult and tedious. My focus shifted to renting cottages and exploring different regions of Ontario. Throughout the years I was able to vacation on Lake Baptiste, Wollaston Lake, Lake Bernard, Star Lake, Canal Lake, Six Mike Lake, the Trent Severn, and explore the unique sights and which are in proximity to these areas.
Exploring these various regions of Ontario opened our eyes to what Ontario truly had to offer to cottagers, and reinforced to us what we truly wanted in a cottage.
